A native of Rutherford County, born on June 06, 1938, daughter of the late James Rabb (1906–1963) and Mildred Whisnant Rabb (1909–1982); wife of the late George C A Jones (1933–1981) and Joseph Alex Abernathy (1927–1997).
Retired from the textile Industry, was a beautician, and was a member of Goode's Creek Baptist Church.
Survived by her son, Michael Jones (fiancee, Wendy Jamison); brother, Roger Rabb (Beverly); sister, Diane Duncan; and one granddaughter.
Also predeceased by siblings, Charles Edward Rabb (1933–1993), Winnie Ruth Rabb Guffey (1935–1979), James Everett Rabb (1943–2010), and Thomas Roger Rabb (1948–2019).
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Goode's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Hayes and Tony Clements officiating; the burial was in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
