Gail deeply loved her family and friends. She retired from the Henderson County School System where she taught biology and chemistry and coached the golf teams. Gail developed lifelong relationships with many of her students and was extremely proud of their accomplishments. She liked to play golf and loved to play bridge. She was a Diamond Life Member of the American Contract Bridge League. Gail was an avid UK fan and a Kentucky Colonel.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Snowden; and her parents Bennett and Evelyn Alexander.
Gail’s survivors, all of Henderson, include her husband of 58 years, Lewis R. Snowden; one daughter, Lisa Tulipana and her husband, Frank; one daughter-in-law, Cathy Snowden Payne; two grandchildren, Kristin Snowden and Lewis J. Snowden; one sister, Glenda Guess and her husband, Jim; one brother, David Alexander and his wife, Arlene; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. Her nephew, the Reverend J. Bennett Guess, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
