Pauline W. Holbrook

Pauline W. Holbrook, 93, of Shelbyville died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Major Hospital.

Born Nov. 25, 1917, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Bertie and Bernice (Bennett) Anderson. She married Wray D. Holbrook on Sept. 25, 1936, and he preceded her in death in May of 1985.

Survivors include son, Hal D. (wife, Sharon) Holbrook of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Emily R. Holbrook and Matt W. (wife, Jill) Holbrook; great-grandchild, Ethan W. Holbrook; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Marion Anderson and Otto Anderson.

Mrs. Holbrook was a lifetime resident of this area and a graduate of Shelbyville High School.

She was a homemaker and had been employed as a cook at Waldron High School for nine years.

Mrs. Holbrook was a member of Waldron Baptist Church and a 50-year member of the Waldron Order of Eastern Star No. 473.

Pauline enjoyed talking about her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

A graveside service only will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County, with the Rev. John Carlstrom officiating.
