Lena Johnson Sexton

Lena Johnson Sexton, 104 1/2, of Kelley Gap Road, went home to be with the Lord Friday at her son's home. Mrs. Sexton was emphatic that she was "104 1/2."

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Sexton attended Community Fellowship Church.

She loved the Lord and the reading of His Word (the Bible).

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Ivan and Jean Sexton of Arkansas, and Alvin and Lois Sexton, with whom she made her home for several years, and Tommy Sexton, all of Greeneville; daughter and son-in-law: Rosie and Clemmis Stills of Greeneville; grandchildren: Karen Jones and Danny, Paulette, Shawn, and Brian Sexton, all of Illinois, Wendy Johnson of Indiana, Linda Taylor, Darlene Brown, and Wilma Cutshaw, all of Greeneville, and Gary Sexton of Rogersville; great-grandchildren: Benjamin Jones, Becky, Donnie, and Danny Sexton Jr., all of Illinois, Katie Mclean of Wyoming, Abagail and Sydney Johnson of Indiana, Jessica Taylor, and David and Jonah Brown, all of Greeneville; and several great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Julia Cutshall Johnson and was preceded in death by her husband: Denver Sexton, who passed away in October 1987; a daughter: Hazel Sexton; a son: Bobby Sexton; a granddaughter: Joyce Ann Stills; a daughter-in-law: Jeanne Sexton; three sisters; one brother; two half-brothers; and several nieces and nephews.

The family expressed a special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Susong and his staff for their kindness.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
