Virginia Mae King, 87, of Grafton, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Grafton City Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 9, 1927, in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late James Rufus and Gladys Dale Gower Bodkin. Her husband James Russell King preceded her death December 19, 1982.
Virginia was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Trinity Choir and the United Methodist Women. She was volunteer and member of Grafton City Hospital Auxiliary.
She worked at J.C. Penney and at Lori Kay Shoes. Virginia enjoyed singing, reading, needle working and visiting with her family and friends.
She is survived by five children, Karen Sue King, Grafton, James R. King II and wife Janice, Grafton, Larry King and wife Karen Kay, Masontown, Robert King and wife Marti, Walkersville, MD, and Michael King and wife Joan, Fairmont; six grandchildren, Ryan King, Kimberly King, Ashley King, Susan Crosby and husband Shawn, Joshua King, Leslie King; one sister, Lena Lorraine Brown and husband Bill, Shippensburg, PA.
