Mrs. Callender
Dies Sunday


Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday for Mrs. Nancy Callender, 74, of Minden. Mrs. Callender died in a Minden hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services were conducted in the Calvary Baptist Church in Minden by the Rev. Irvin Roshoto and burial was in the Old Minden Cemetery.

Survivors are three sons, Herman, Willie Callender of Minden, and Frank Callender, Jr. of Cotton Valley; four daughters, Mrs. Sarah McCoy and Mrs. Kittie Terry of Cotton Valley, Mrs. Oree Gamel of Minden, and Mrs. Mary Adams of Athens; a sister, Miss Rosalee Callender of Homer; a brother, Andrew Peterson of Minden; 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
