Allen H. Burrer of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away in the Tristar Care and Rehab Center in Fredericksburg on Sunday, December 21st, 2014 at the age of 84 years. He was born Allen Henry Burrer to his parents, Albert Herman Burrer and Hulda Sophie Lehne in Fredericksburg, Texas on March 14th, 1930. Baptized April 20th, 1930 in Zion Lutheran Church, Confirmed April 2nd, 1944 also in Zion Church, served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 15th March 1951 to 11th Mar 1953, discharged with the rank of PFC, married Emmie Gellermann, on October 16th, 1954 in Holy Ghost Church in Fredericksburg, member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, and membership in the V.F.W., worked as mechanic at Behrends Garage, Immel Motors, and retired from Allen Keller Company, worked part time for Napa Auto Supply after retirement.

Preceded in death by his parents, sister in law, Opal, Mrs. Melvin Burrer, brothers in law, Ted Rigoni & Robert Weishaupt.

Allen is survived by his wife, Emmie Gellermann Burrer of Fredericksburg, two daughters, one son, Cheryl Price of Fredericksburg, Darrell Burrer of Fredericksburg and Donna Burrer of Austin, five grandchildren Terri Loth Ulrich, Bryde Burrer, Jena Burrer, Kara Burrer, Kyle Price, and two great grandchildren, Preston Fiedler and Emily Fiedler, two brothers, Frederick Burrer & spouse Evelyn of Oakland, California, Melvin Burrer of San Antonio, five sisters in law & spouses, Cynthia Rigoni of California; Carol & Earnest Johnson of Houston, Lois & Danny Pohler of Fredericksburg; Dorothy & Joe Kaiser, Jr. of San Antonio, and Janelle Weishaupt of North Carolina.

Funeral services for Allen Burrer will be held on Wednesday, December 24th, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg, with Pastor David Priem officiating.

Graveside services and interment with Military Honors will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg.

Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in his memory to the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, or to the charity of their choice.

Visitation for Mr. Burrer will be on Tuesday from 4 to 7:00 P. M. and Wednesday morning from 7:30 to 9:15 A.M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, and from 10 to 11:00 A.M. in the Holy Ghost Church in Fredericksburg.
