Gloria Fidelas Swepston, 88, of Amarillo died on Friday, December 19, 2014. Memorial Services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Sherman Eastland, Chaplain of Gentiva Hospice officiating. Arrangements are LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.

Gloria Swepston, was born on January 15, 1926 in Albuquerque, NM to Thomas and Rosetta Brazil. Gloria lived in Alaska when it was still a territory. She also lived Cloudcroft, NM and raised angora sheep. She would shear the goats and knit clothes. She enjoyed knitting and quilting. Gloria was a nurse's aid and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Otto and Doris Louise Otto Sirmon McLemore; two sisters, Harriet Lawrence and Faye Hoffman; two brothers, Herbert Brazil and Ray Dean Terry and a half brother Clyde Brazil.

She is survived by five sons, Stanley Ray Otto and wife Mary, Jerry Don Otto and wife Shirley, Thomas Lee Otto and wife Donna, James Ralph Otto and wife Theresa, and Mark Dennis Otto and a daughter Linda Sue Otto Mixon and husband Fred; twenty grandchildren and over twenty seven great grandchildren.
