Gerald A. Frazier 97, passed away December 20, 2014 of causes natural of age at Monte Vista Hills Care Center in Pocatello.Gerald was born in Purdy, Missouri December 5, 1917 to James Virgil and Bessie Gann Frazier. He was the second eldest of 4 children, his brother Ephron Frazier and 2 sister Ruby Jones and Helen Jackson. The family moved to Idaho in 1930.He married Noreen Blundell October 31, 1938 in Pocatello. They eventually settled on the acreage his father purchased on Mink Creek Rd. Gerald became the owner and operator of Frazier's Poultry Farm that was started by his father. Gerald had a very strong work ethic which he passed onto his children. With countless hours together he and his son's grew the business into one of Idaho's largest Poultry Farms with over 100,000 chicken producing high quality fresh Grade AA eggs which they packaged and sold to various dairy distributors, grocery stores and restaurants throughout all of southeast Idaho and Wyoming. Gerald was co-owner of Frazier's Market and Frazier's Fruit Farm.Gerald was a self-made poultry expert. He was the Vice President of Idaho Poultry Federation. When he wasn't physically on the farm he was reading about poultry and consulting with other breeders and experts. He strived to make his family business "Not the biggest - Just the Best". Our family is very proud of the business our father and his sons worked so hard to build.Gerald was an avid sports lover. He was passionate about baseball. He played minor league baseball for the Saint Louis Cardinals Farm Team, The Alameda Redbirds. He was successful at passing down his skills and passion for baseball to his sons and grandsons by coaching and sponsoring little league baseball. He sponsored a bowling team at Tuff Guy Lanes that his sons Dennis and Bruce bowled on for many years. He had a great love for Chrysler automobiles. In his later years you would see him tending to business on the farm driving his "GTX" which purchased from his oldest son, Dennis.Gerald retired in 1997 and sold the farm in 1998.Gerald is survived by daughters, Janet (Bill) Staker, and Susan (Boyd) Henderson; sons, Bruce (Terrie) Frazier, and Roger (Susan) Frazier; 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, June (Ephron) Frazier. He was preceded in death by his wife, Noreen; his parents; sons, Dennis and Gary; grandson, Bill Staker, JR.; brother, Ephron and sisters Ruby Jones and Helen Jackson; brother-in-law, Fendon Jackson; sons-in-law, Bob Thompson and Boyd Henderson; and daughter-in-law, Judy Frazier.
