ALBANY -- Mrs. Edith M. Ator, 76, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at her home here. With the exception of a year in Columbus, Mrs. Ator spent her entire life in the Chas and Albany communities, being employed in local stores and at the post office. She was a nurse's aid in Sheltering Arms Hospital for five years.
Mrs. Ator, whose husband, Zaddock B. Ator, died in 1938, was a member of the Chase Baptist Church, in Albany Grange and the Albany Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by a son, Harold, of Albany, and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 2 p.m., in the Albany Baptist Church by the Rev Richard Jarvis, with burial in Alexander Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bigony funeral home until the time for services.
