Mrs. Ruby Jordan was born Nov 9, 1896, at Roy Utah, to Bryam Lee and Mary Ella (Baker) Bybee. She was reared and educated in the Roy area. She married Fredrick James Meadows on Nov 8, 1917, in Utah, and they made their home at Sunset. Mr. Meadow died in 1922 and she later married Russell V Jordan on July 10, 1925, in Sunset. They ln Sunset for several years where Mr. Jordan was a broker.

In 1943, they came to Nampa and farmed north of Nampa for many years.
As they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 10, 1985. Mr. Jordan died April 3, 1986, and she moved to Roy, Utah to live with her daughter, Mrs. Jean Stettler.

She was a member of the Nampa First Ward LDS Church where she had been an active member for many years. She had been a Relief Society President. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

She enjoyed quilting and sewing.

Ruby Jordan died Dec 25, 1988, at a Meridian Shelter Home. Her funeral held at the Nampa First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery. Bishop Edward Hess officiating.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jean Stettler-George of Roy, Utah, two sons and their wives, James and Evelyn Meadows, and Lee and Sharon Jordan of Nampa; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Moss and Mrs. Leda Ray, both of Nyassa Oregon. and Mrs. Nora Howell of St.George, Utah; 33 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Richard V Jordan, and two daughters, Betty Lou Loveland and Donna Esther Stephens, four brothers and one sister.

SHe will always be remembered and always in our hearts. But know that she is happy being with those she loved, and with Heavenly Father. We ourselves look forward when we can be with her again.
