Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel with David Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery.
Estelle was born November 29, 1931 in Gouldbusk, Texas to David and Dovie (Harris) Wright.
She was a graduate of Abilene High School.
She married Clarence Hollis Wimberley in Abilene on July 29, 1949.
They moved to Clyde from Crosby in 1970 and owned and operated Wimberley Wrecking in Clyde for many years.
She was a member of the Church of Christ and Trinity Church in Clyde for the past 38 years.
Mrs. Wimberley served many years on the Church Hospitality Committee and was instrumental in the development of Isaiah 58 Food Ministry. In Promise Helpers she served as a prayer coordinator and volunteered at The Haven, the local family ministry home in Clyde. Recently The Haven honored her as one of the four women whose life portrayed The Proverbs 31 woman and the concept that ministry portrays.
Estelle is survived by her husband Hollis Wimberley; one son, Gary Wimberley and wife Kathy of Clyde; four daughters, Glenda Garrison and husband Burres of Weatherford, Debbie Bostick of Clyde, Sherri LeBlanc and husband Dale of Hamilton and Trissy Rudock and husband Mick of Azle; one sister, Mavis Crane of Abilene; 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Haven, 222 Archer St., Clyde, Texas 79510.
