Vincent Paul “V.P.” Cristina, Jr., 87, long time resident of St. Rose, LA passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.

He was born in Kenner, LA to the late Vincent P. Cristina, Sr. and Julia Lochbaum Cristina on June 20, 1927.

He graduated from Kenner High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a retiree of Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp and LaRoche Chemical Co. in Gramercy, LA. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter and sportsman who loved spending time outdoors.

VP was a devoted family man with three children, David P. Cristina (Trena), Claire Cristina Poche and Terry Cristina Burke (Steven). He will be lovingly missed by his grandchildren, Angelle, Robert, Ian, Travis, Tyler and Cristina; great grandchild, Eloise; and brother August “Augie” Cristina (Delores).

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ruth Waguespack Cristina; two brothers, Joseph and Robert Cristina; and four sisters, Julia “Sis” Elfer, Dora Louque, Cecile Centanni and Anna Rita Mender.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at L. A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
