Yvonne Kilpatrick Cochran, 88, of Andrews passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in a Blairsville, Georgia hospital. She was a native and lifetime resident of Andrews. She was a homemaker, but had also worked for Owenby Manufacturing for 25 years. She was a member of Valleytown Baptist Church. Yvonne loved working in her yard with her flowers and gardening.
She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lydia Wakefield Kilpatrick. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Howard Kilpatrick.
Surviving are three daughters, Jeanette Raxter and husband, Walter of Andrews, Carolyn Young and husband, Bobby of Cumming, Georgia, and Robin Eagar and husband, Eb of Tega Cay, South Carolina; a sister, Dora Bradley of Marietta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Scott Raxter, Lori Brown Geddings, and Matthew Brown; and two great grandchildren, Jackson and Madison Geddings.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 19, 2014 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with Dr. Calvin Bobo officiating. The interment will be in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Higdon, Donald Hogan, Ronnie Barton, Zelmon Clark, Keith Postell, and Lane Phillips.
The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 Friday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.
