Ruth Alleene Oldham Meadors

Ruth Alleene Oldham Meadors, 97, of Sardis, Tenn., died Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Lexington Manor in Lexington, Tenn. She was born in Hardin County, daughter of Alfred and Fannie Hanna Oldham. She was united in marriage to William Irvin Meadors, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Meadors was a supervisor for Sears in Memphis and teacher at Pickwick, Hinkle and Reagan. She was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church. She was also a member of and secretary for the Homemakers Club and was active in state and county political efforts. Services were held Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Sardis Senior Center with Irene Chandler officiating. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was also proceeded in death by two sisters, Beulah Hanna and Ruby Rogers; and two brothers, Roland and Ray Oldham.
