Lady Diana was the daughter of Sir Charles Spencer, 3rd Earl of Sunderland and Lady Anne (Churchill) Spencer. She was born in London, England. Nicknamed "Dear little Di" by her family. Married on Oct. 11, 1731 to John Russell, 4th Duke of Bedford. She was titled Duchess of Bedford on Oct. 23, 1732. To this union one son was born who died shortly after birth; John Russell, Marquess of Tavistock. Lady Diana died in Southampton House, London, England from Tuberculosis.
