Ardyce Malm, 84, Flasher, died May 29, 2010, at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem. Services were held on June 4 at Horizon Parish Church (UCC), Flasher. Burial was held at Fairhill Cemetery, Flasher.

Ardyce was born March 3, 1926, the daughter of Alfred and Julia (Rogholt) Westrum. A graduate of Flasher High School, she also graduated from business college in Bismarck. She married Archie R. Malm on June 25, 1948, in Bismarck. She and Archie lived their entire married life on the family farm near Flasher.

Archie died Oct. 26, 1996. Three years ago, Ardyce moved into Flasher and then became a resident of Elm Crest in September 2009.

Most of all, Ardyce loved to read. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo. In her younger years, she was a good bowler. In her later years, Ardyce became an avid Vikings football fan.

She was a member of both the American Lutheran Church and the United Church of Christ in Flasher and was also a 50-year member of the Eastern Star. Her memberships also included the Raleigh Homemakers Club, Rebbekah Lodge and the Lions Club.

Surviving Ardyce are her children, Anita (Dave) Nystrom, Prior Lake, Minn., and Alan (Nancy), Flasher; grandchildren, Mesa (Jason) MacDonald, Reed Nystrom, Kelsey Malm, Lindsey Malm, Bret (Tawny) Nystrom and Desiree Nystrom; and great-grandchildren, Vaughn MacDonald, Megan Nystrom, Brittany Nystrom and Haley Nystrom.

Ardyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Archie; two brothers, Everett and Milo Westrum; and her infant sister, Arlene Westrum. (Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.
