William Eugene "Gene" Paul served with Co.H 142nd Inf. U.S. Army during WWI. He was born in Mineral Wells, Texas, in 1895. In 1920 he married Grace McCormac in Reno, Nevada. He was active in the American Legion and was a volunteer fireman for his community.
Tragically he was struck by a car and died in Los Angeles, California, in March of 1953 at the age of 57, after just being released from the hospital.
