Tilford Ledbetter was the son of William M. "Bill" Ledbetter & his 1st wife, Susan (Sullins) Ledbetter. William Ledbetter married Miss Susan Sullens on April 17, 1842 in Cannon County, Tennessee. William & Susan were the parents of possibly 8-children. Susan died Abt. 1873 (probably Cannon Co., TN). William Ledbetter, 2nd married Martha (Murphy) on March 15, 1874, Cannon County, TN.

Tilford Ledbetter's Death Certificate notes his birth year as 1850 however, this does not appear to be correct. he is noted as follows:
1860 Census, Cannon Co., TN - Tilford, 02
1870 Census, Cannon Co., TN - Tilford, 12
1880 Census, Swan, Taney, MO- Tilford, 22

These records indicate his birth year as probably 1858. If anyone has proof which indicates otherwise, please let me know.
