Mildred L. Stray Isgrigg, age 93, resident of Wheaton, Illinois, and formerly a longtime resident of Valparaiso, Indiana, died on Friday, September 13, 2002. She was born February 4, 1909 in Elstie [then located in Logan Township, Blair County} Pennsylvania, to Francis and Mary [Holmberg] Wright. She was a graduate of God's Bible College and served as a missionary in western China, near the border of Tibet, from 1933-1948. All her life she was active in church work and was a strong supporter of missions. She often spoke to groups regarding her experience as a missionary. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Valparaiso, Indiana. She is survived by one daughter, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. David Stray and Rev. Paul Isgrigg, one daughter, Vivian Mary Felix; seven brothers and sisters. A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 21, 2002 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2702 Glendale Blvd., Valparaiso, Indiana 46383.
