Circuit Clerk Henry J. Wallace of Douglas County died at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon in his home here of diabetes. Mr. Wallace had been ill since February, but took a sudden turn for the worse Thursday morning.
He had held the office of circuit clerk for the last 10 years and for several years before that was a deputy circuit clerk. His wife died a number of years ago. Mr. Wallace leaves three daughters, Mrs. Bess Snyder, Miss Cora Wallace and Mrs. Tom Martin; and two sons, Charles and Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Tuscola Methodist Church by Rev. Howard Leach. Burial will be in Hugo cemetery with Undertaker J.C. Waddington in charge.
