Obituary: Gladys Ruth Tallant, 86, of Kingston, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the home of her son, Nathan Tallant in Locust Grove, GA. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Kingston, TN
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William E. "Ed" Tallant; parents, Lillard Thurston and Ella Mae (Coffey) Adkisson; brother, Paul Eugene Adkisson.
Survivors include daughter, Diane Ruple of Marietta, GA; sons and daughters –in-law Nathan and Jenny Tallant of Locust Grove, GA, and Bruce and Elena Tallant of Lakeland, FL; sister, Audrey Bell of Harriman; brother, Lester Adkisson of Harriman; sister, Beulah Copeland of Harriman; sister, Jewell Davis of New Castle, IN; grandchildren, Kim Ruple, Jena Golden, Dustin Tallant, Paul Tallant, Bruce Tallant, Jr., Steve Tallant, David Tallant; and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday July 20,14 in Kyker Funeral Home chapel, Kingston, with the Rev. Paul Lloyd officiating. Burial immediately following at Roane Memorial Gardens, Rockwood. The Tallant Family will receive friends and family on Sunday July 20, 2014 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m
