Native of Simpsonville, son of James Madison and Susan M. Alverson Bramlett.
Assistant general freight and passenger agent of the Southern Railway System in Spartanburg and had been with Southern since 1911; a member of the First Baptist Church, Ellis Fuller Sunday School Class and the Piedmont Club.
Surviving are his wife, Lora Williams Bramlett; one son, Dr. Charner W. Bramlett; one daughter, Betty Jane Bramlett; one sister, Mary Bramlett.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 23, 1961 at J. F. Floyd Mortuary at 4:00 p.m. by Dr. John L. Slaughter. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
