Sarah Elizabeth "Sis" Gulledge was a daughter of William A. and Lydia (Griggs) Moore. She was the second wife of Edward Washington Gulledge. They had no issue. She is buried in the E. W. Gulledge Family Cemetery with no marker.
Above is from a 1999 unpublished typescript by Marie Gulledge Wiggins, "William Hood Gulledge of Anson County, North Carolina and His Descendants". Marie, born in 1923, was about ten years old when Sis (Marie's 2nd great step-grandmother) died. She knew and remembered Sis well.
