Minnie Elizabeth Jane Willis, second daughter of P. V. and Mary Willis, was born October 20, 1877, at Blockton, Iowa, and passed away June 3, 1960 in the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial, Nebraska, at the age of 82 years, seven months and 14 days.

On January 27, 1895, she was united in marriage with Jess Gage in Gentry County, Missouri. To this union four children, three boys and one girl, were born.

In 1921 she, with her family, moved to Chase County, Nebraska. She lived the remainder of her life in this community. Mr. Gage passed away June 4, 1923.

On February 1, 1926 she married Frank Dinnel of Imperial. He preceded her in death July 28, 1951.

She was baptized as a young girl into the Church of Christ and united with the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Imperial in 1938.

She was preceded in death, besides her husband, by her parents, two brothers, Hartzel (Doc), and Van; and two children, Zilla Jane and Clint L.

She leaves to mourn her death, two sons, Charles Franklin Gage, and Joseph Lawrence Gage, San Jose, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Rettie Edwards, Grandview, Wash.; Mrs. Mary Miller, Brewster, Kansas; Mrs. Susie Bensen, Imperial; and five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, many other relatives and a host of friends.

Her life was one of kindness and love and devotion to her God and fellowman.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, June 6, at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Imperial, and the pastor, Rev. Hubert Hughes, gave the sermon. Mrs. Ralph Spradlin sang, accompanied by Mrs. Virgil Ruebesam. Casket bearers were Basil Dinnel, Verlon Dinnel, Gust Daschofsky, Bert Munson, Hartzel Benson and Guy Hixon. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery near Imperial with Luhrs & Reynolds in charge of arrangements.
