Alfred J. Mut was the last member of Lee-Scott Camp No. 6, Spanish American War Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, the former Irene Combouzou, Baton Rouge; five sons, Edgar J. Jr., Henry R. Sr., Carl J., Melvin Sr. and Lester M. Mut Sr., all of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Mrs. Johnny May Carter, Natchez, Miss., and Mrs. Loretta Butler, Pens Grove, N.J.; three sisters, Miss Odile Mut, New Orleans, Mrs. Rudolph Glaser, San Salvador, and Mrs. Bernice Aicken, Charleston, W. Va.; three brothers, Sidney and Ferdinand Mut, Dallas, Tex., and Leonard Mut, New Orleans; 17 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren.
