Graveside services for John Edward Battle, 61, of Rt. 3, Bonham, who passed away Saturday, June 20, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Fannin Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. The Rev. W. C. Beasley officiated.
Mr. Battle was born in England July 17, 1925, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Battle. He married Betty Bynum September 23, 1963 in Ft. Worth. He was a veteran of World War II and the owner of Fannin Construction Co. He was a past member of the Fort Worth Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Battle of Bonham; one step-son, Terry Brawner of Ft. Worth; one step-daughter, Jackie Wells of Ft. Worth; and three step-granchildren.
