Wade served in United States Navy in WWII aboard aircraft carrier and was engaged in Battle of Okinawa.

Married to Elva (Griffin) Morain it is noted they had one son, Robert Wallace Reynolds, born abt. 1938 born in Buena Vista Colorado. Wade was also step father to Elva Morain's five children: Idamae, Curtis Vernard, William Paul, Alverett J, and Stanley B. Morain.

[Elva (daughter of Edward Griffin) first married Ralph V. Morain (son of Henry Morain) June 5, 1923, in Kay County, Oklahoma)]

Wade died of Lou Gehrig's disease.
