Ralph was born on Aug. 7, 1896 the first of 13 children of Phillip & Florence (Duesler) Palmateer.
He was in the 1930 Johnstown census living with his parents. It stated he was married at age 19 and widowed before 1930. No children listed. He was a general laborer and died in Johnston at age 70.
Ralph and Harriet E. were listed in the 1958 & 1960 Johnstown city directory, living at 5 S. East Ave. emp. at Milligan & Higgins Corp.
Married 2nd wife Margaret Steele, 1/20/1962 in Johnstown.
