LOUETTA L. KIMBLEY, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006, at home. Born in Evansville, she moved to Fort Wayne, in 1956. She retired from Fort Wayne State Developmental Center, in 1987 with 30 years of service where she was the instructor of Basic Nursing. She was a recipient of the ABWA Woman of the Year, in 1981; served as a volunteer for Harvest Community Food Bank and Grace Lutheran Church; she was also Former Daughter Ruler Northern District Indiana-Hametic Elks Lodge 428. Surviving are a son, Laemond L. (Lisa) Kimbley Sr.; grandchildren, David Oliver, Tavara Tucker, LaShyra Davis, Heaven Fowlkes, Andrea Kendrick, Laemond L. Kimbley II and Ra-Sheida Kimbley; a niece, Lynda (Lawrence) Ridley of St. Louis, Mo.; along with a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Kimbley, a sister, Helen Shelton; and a granddaughter, Tanisha Lashay Tinker. Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S. Anthony, with calling from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ellis Funeral Home, 1021 E. Lewis St. Memorials to American Heart Association. Burial in Concordia Cemtery Gardens.
