Loving husband of Barbara for 66 years; dear father of Thomas (Jody) Charlebois, Irene (Marvin) Moore, Denise (Dave) Denis, Mark Charlebois, Michele (Gary) Landenberger, and Veronica (William) Richards; grandfather of Eric, Jason (Cassie), Lynnette (Drew), David (Tiffany), Nicholas, Monica, Christopher, Alexis, Jacob, Thomas, and Nichole; great grandfather of Tyler and Jack; brother of the late Gerard. Ernie was a Mechanical Engineer for Ford Motor and then loved selling Buicks for many years. He loved traveling, cars and spending time with his family. Funeral Mass Friday, July 15, 2011, 10 a.m. with an In State of 9:30 a.m. at Assumption Grotto Catholic Church, 13770 Gratiot, Detroit. The family will receive friends Thursday 3 to 8 p.m. at the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Blvd., Rochester. Interment in the Assumption Grotto Cemetery.
