Elmwood - Mrs. Estella A Lindzey, 84, died at her home Thursday at 4 p.m. She had been in failing heath about two years. She spent all her life in the Yates City and Elmwood Communities.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:30 pm at the Patterson Funeral Home. Elmwood Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon and evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lindzey was born May 27 1874 at Elba Township. She was married July 8 1896 to William Charles Lindzey. He died Feb 23 1955. She was a member of the Elmwood Methodist Church.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Alma Runyon of Yates City. Owen of Peoria, Bruce of Elmwood, Mrs. Opal Steck of Elmwood and Mrs. Frances Braham of Peoria. Nine Grandchildren and 29 Great-grandchildren survive as do three sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Ennis of Douglas, Mrs. Vada Windish of Galesburg and Mrs. Mary Murdock of Rockford.
