Truman was my step grandfather. In the 1940's, when I knew him, he was a prospector and miner. He and his wife, Nancy Ellen, and step-son Henry, mined lead on the Rimrock mine, near Cooks Peak. In 1949, his hand was caught in a cable on a winlass and the cable wrapped around him and he died. He was much beloved by his family. His father was David Homer Bond, and his mother was Elizabeth Robbins. He had no children.
