The daughter of John Lambeth and Annie Eliza Blackmon Lambeth, Nancy Edaline Lambeth was born in Alabama in 1837. She was the third of twelve children.
She and Levi Garrison married and had 6 children between the ages of 2 and 11 before Levi died at Camp Chase, Ohio in 1865. We have been unable to find her and the family on the 1870 census in Alabama but we believe that is where they were still in residence. Nancy brought the children to Bell County in 1873. How or with whom she came is unknown.
On May 10, 1876 she married W.S. Whaley. They had a pre-marital agreement. They lived in Harrisville (a settlement near present day Academy). They had one son, John H. Whaley. Another child, Elizabeth (born 1882) is listed in Charles Whaley's family Bible (no additional info available).
On June 22, 1899, W. S. completed an application for a Confederate Pension. He stated that he had moved to Jones County 12 years before (approximately 1887) so W.S. and Nancy must have divorced around that same time period since she remained in Bell County when he moved to Jones County. Nancy died in 1903 and is buried in the Rogers Cemetery next to her daughter, Palestine.
