June Wedding of Popular Couple
What more appropriate time could there be for the union of hearts than the month of June, with its sunshine and flowers. The first wedding of this month occurred last Wednesday evening, June 1, when Miss Lou Wood, daughter of John F. Wood, of North Main Street, became the bride of Oscar Tharp, of near Parker. The ceremony was performed in Selma, by the Rev. Hollopeter, of the M. E. Church at that place, after which the bridal pair proceeded to the furnished home of the groom, located on a farm north of Parker.
Mrs. Tharp had been a teacher in the Farmland schools the past seven years, during which time she has filled her position most dutifully and effectually.
This event marks the most important milestone in their life. Another home is made, a new start in life is commenced under the most favorable circumstances. We wish them long life and bespeak for them much happiness.
