The primary source are family bible records in the possession of family of Henry Madison Walter, former treasurer from 1905-1907 and official editor of the National Genealogical Society. He was also the husband of Mary Thorne Christi the granddaughter of Daniel Tilton and step-granddaughter of Abigail (Foss) Tilton. That Abigail (Foss) Tilton is recorded as sister of Job Foss of Dover Plains, New York of whom we have ample evidence gives us no doubt as to her identity.
