Richard A. Niceschwander, 77, of Hope died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at the home of his daughter in Hope.

He worked at Southwork Plumbing in Philadelphia before moving to Hope.

A World War II veteran, he served in the Navy aboard the S.S. Columbia.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Haugen officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Cremation is planned.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Niceschwander was born on Aug. 22, 1927, the son of Victor Hugo and Violet Ward Niceschwander.

Survivors include daughters, Cindy Reel, Janet Quillen and Joann Shea, all of Hope; a son, Victor Niceschwander of Taylorsville; sisters Deana E Smith of Arkansas, Bonnie Gregory of Colorado and Virgene Hauan of California; and grandchildren, Danielle Semay, Terry and James Burns, Robert Quillen, Michael and Brian Shea, Lenny, Dominick and Pamela Niceschwander and Richard Niceschwander III;

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Richard A. Niceschwander and daughter Mary Ann.
