Howard James Clanton, 88, of Englewood, a manager and farmer, died Sept. 7 in Denver. Services were Sept. 11 at Bullock Mortuary. Interment was in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 18, 1913, in Stella, Mo. On Sept. 19, 1936, he married Kathryn Berry in Las Animas. He managed a Conoco gas station and farmed. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Englewood. His interests included fishing, horseshoes, playing pool and the Denver Broncos.

Survived by his wife, two daughters, Donna and Elaine and son Gary.
