Allen P. Barber, well known resident, died Saturday morning at his home, 336 South Cannon avenue, aged 78 years. He was a lifelong resident of Hagerstown and had been engaged in the house and sign painting business all his adult life.
Surviving are
son, Albert of Essex Falls, N.J.;
daughters,
Miss Edith Bragunier, Williamsport, and
Mrs. Helen Mullenix, this city.
Eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
He was a brother of Thomas H. Barber, former sheriff and Chief of Police.
Funeral services Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home with Rev. Dr. J. S. Simon in charge. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery.
