Addie Mae Mongold, 77, of Broadway, Virginia, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014, at Sentara RMH Medical Center.

Addie was born in Rockingham County on October 19, 1937, and was a daughter of the late Mary Catherine Crider and Harry Lee Reese.

She worked as the office manager for Mongold Excavating and was a member of Shenandoah Valley Word of Faith Christian Center in Harrisonburg.

On Sept. 20, 1964, she was united in marriage to Cecil Mongold, who survives.

Addie is also survived by three sons, Wayne Eye and wife, Doris, of Clover Hill, Philip Eye and wife, Sharon, of Mount Crawford and Cecil “CJ” Mongold Jr. of Broadway; two sisters, Cathryn V. Little of Mount Airy, Md., and Luella K. Black and husband, Don, of Dayton; three brothers, James L. Reese and wife, Katherine, of Dayton, Mervin E. Reese of Hinton and William “Steamboat” H. Reese of Dayton; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a brother, David Reese.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2014, at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater with Pastor Ricky Brunk officiating. Burial will follow at Clover Hill Cemetery.
