Howard James "Shorty" Beaver, age 77 of Andrews, NC passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at Murphy Medical Center.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC; son of the late James Richard "Jim" and Gwendolyn Hamby Beaver. Howard worked in construction. He was a member of Violet Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Beaver.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Beaver; one brother, Arnold Beaver and wife Faye; three sisters, Marcella Dillard, Marlene Clayton and husband Ronnie and Margaret Mann.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Rev. Calvin Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in the Violet Baptist Church Cemetery.
