Excerpted from THE PARIS NEWS, 28 Apr 1955: Mrs. John B. Hamman, 83, longtime resident of 424 Bonham St., died Thursday at 5:15 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital. Her husband, who died 19 Jan 1954, had been head of the Box Factory of Paris since 1914, the Hammans having lived here since 29 Dec 1918. The former Miss Carrie Aden, daughter of W. E. and Irene (Wolfe) Aden, Mrs. Hamman was born at Malvern, Ark., 8 Apr 1883, and attended school at Pine Bluff. She leaves two sons, John Travis Hamman and Leland Hamman, Paris; two grandchildren, Christy Hamman, Paris, and Mrs. Robert A. Hutchison, Phoenix, Ariz.; two great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. F. N. Smith, Texarkana.
