Thomasville- Bonnie May Smith Fouts Whitaker, 83, of 508 Valley Drive, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, in the Methodist Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Neuma Highfill. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Whitaker was born March 13, 1909, in Tupelo, Miss., to John A. Smith and Mary Evie Sprayberry Smith. She was a retired employee of Amazon Cotton Mills and member of Southside Baptist Church. Her first husband, Franklin Andrew Fouts died in 1950, and her second husband, Garrett (Pat) Whitaker, died in 1979.

Surviving are three son, Stanley F. Fouts of Monroe, Lowell V. Fouts of Ferndenia Beach, Fla., and Billy R. Fouts of Valley Drive, two brothers Stanley Smith of Jacksonville, Fla., and Roy Smith of Palatka, Fla., eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
