Catherine Brydia Castleberry Pylat was born in Ada, Okla. on July 25, 1935 to John William and Mary Hopkins Castleberry. Catherine departed this live in her home on April 12, 2006. Catherine and her late husband, Michael Pylat, owned and operated Pylat's Mortuary Transport Services for 18 years in OKC. Catherine placed a great value on education and life-long learning. She attended East Central University and OCU. Catherine had a flair for the dramatic and was an active participant in Lyric Theater and Jewel box Theater productions during the 1970's with her late husband Andre Robert Hauton, she also had a great love of music and enjoyed singing, playing the piano and the coronet. Left behind to remember her are her son Mark Kendall Hauton, daughter-in-law Shirley Hauton, grandsons Jake Hauton, Keith Leming, & Quincy Shaw, daughter Mary Catherine Wilder, son-in-law Floyd Seibert, step-daughter Beverly Stanbrough, sister Margaret Taylor, former son-in-law Eddy Read, numerous nieces & nephews, and many friends. Catherine had a life-long interest in the spiritual realm and it is her family's belief that she has already re-united with those she loved whom passed before her. Visitation and viewing will take place at Catherine's home, Saturday 12:pm to 4:pm and Sunday 10:am to 8:pm. Services will be at 6pm Saturday at United Life Church, 3332 N. Meridian, Oklahoma City.
