Kenneth J. Stroik, age 81, of King, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 4th, 2014 at Wisconsin Veterans Home-MacArthur Hall, King, He was born in Amherst, WI on November 24, 1933, a son of the late Frank and Agnes (Loftis) Stroik.
Ken served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his Sisters: Rita Plowman, Port Edwards, WI; Edith (Chuck) Quimby, Appleton, WI; Brother: Tom (Kathy) Stroik, Waupaca, WI. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and Jason Harless, who Ken raised as a son. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters - Gregory Stroik, Dorothy Kaspar, Richard Stroik, Alice Lepinski, Howard Stroik, Gary Stroik and Audrey Lohman.
Memorial Services will be held at the Wisconsin Veterans Home-Main Chapel in King at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 9th, 2014, with Reverend Jeff Casper officiating. Interment will be in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King, at a later date. Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 10 AM until the time of the service at the Main Chapel.
Our family wishes to send an enormous Thank You to all who cared for our brother, Ken, so lovingly on his journey. The staffs of ThedaCare Hospice, Appleton Medical Center, Cherry Meadows and the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, where he went peacefully to Heaven.
Tom, Edie and Rita want to thank you, Ken, for being the glue that kept our family together and we want you to know that along with your many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews we will continue the closeness you helped us create. We have loved you so much, and will love and miss you until we are together again.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to ThedaCare at Home Hospice in Ken's name.
