NORMA M DUNLOP, 81, of Foster Street, Gloversville, died Friday, May 28, 2010, at the Nathan Littauer Nursing Home in Gloversville. She was born in Utica, N.Y., on July 11, 1928, the daughter of the late William and Mildred Steele Duesler.
She was employed as a glove worker for many years in Gloversville, lastly working for Margaret Ambrosino Gloves.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Gloversville and the Bleecker Fish and Game Club. She also loved animals and had a grooming business.
Survivors include: two sons, Sam Dunlop of Gloversville and Steve Brower of Caroga Lake; one daughter, Diane Dunlop of Gloversville; one brother, William Duesler Jr. of Florida; one sister, Evelyn Dunlop of Gloversville; four grandchildren, Amy Johnson, Christina Sowel, Michael Dake Jr. and Jeremy Dake. She is also survived by one nephew, Clyde Peek; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Gloversville Funeral Service, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Fern Dale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the James A. Brennan Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, NY 12078.
