Her personal account in Cowboys and Sodbusters book:

"I was born December 17, 1910 on the Glover ranch 1 1/2 miles north of Vale, South Dakota. Dad and Mother were married on a ranch eight miles north of Sturgis, L.F. Glover and Eva Cundy, married by Reverend C.D. Erskine, of Sturgis, at ten o'clock December 25, 1909.

Mother passed away at ten o'clock December 25, 1910. I was eight days old, and my Uncle Al and Aunt Nellie Glover took care of me for three months. My grandpa and grandma wintered in Silver City, New Mexico. when they got home, I stayed with my grandparents until I was married.

I went to the Vale School, finished the eleventh grade there. I played basketball in Vale and Newell.

When I was seventeen, I married Dave Klingler and lived Gettysburg, South Dakota, for a number of years. to this union were born Frieda, Marilyn, and E. Boyd Klingler. We worked on ranches in the Gettysburg country and the children were all born in Gettysburg.

My husband and I parted in 1934. I stayed in Gettsburg for a time, then moved to Vale with my Dad in 1936, and sent the kids to school for two or three years.

I went to the Cheyenne Reservation, then in 1950 or 51.

I went to Washington and from there I wound up in Nevada and am still in Nevada."
