--Died, in Evans Col., on the 5th
inst., Jas. Coulter, aged about 75 years.
Mr. Coulter was the founder of Coulterville,
Randolph county, and was at one
time a prominent citizen of that place.
He went to Evans early in the spring
in bad health, hoping to recover: but
he was too old and feeble, and was
seldom able to be out of his house dur-
ing the summer.
