A native of Union County, he was the husband of Shirley Campbell Shetley and son of Viola Sanders Shetley and the late James Elijah Shetley. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and was employed as a production manger with Sonoco Products.
Also surviving are two sons, Cecil O'Neil and Roger Shetley of Union; four sisters, Mary Ann Duckett of Cowpens, Grace Reece of Canton, N.C., Judy Cooksey and Susan Lovelace of Union; two brothers, James F. and Ronnie Shetley of Union; and three granddaughters.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Harold Wilson. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.
