Jessie W. "J.W." Mills, 54, died Sunday in a Sandersville hospital.
Funeral services were Monday in the chapel of Moores Funeral Home. The Revs. Barry Carter and Jerry Pickard officiated. Burial was in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Mills, a native of Hancock County, made his home in Milledgeville for many years. He was retired employee of Central State Hospital and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Gary William Mills of Eatonton; a daughter, Gina Mills Kuehn of Milledgeville; his mother, Susie Mills McDuffie of Milledgeville; a brother, Lamar Mills of Milledgeville; and a sister Nina Bloodworth of Milledgeville.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
